Azure

Hi...just a reminder that if it is your first time ordering through Azure you need to get in touch with the drop coordinator before you actually want to place your order. They will give you their drop # for their location.

The fastest way to get their phone # is to call Azure directly at 541-467-2230. I do not have the contact information for all the drop coordinators and if you email me using the contact page you need to give me 24 hours to check my email and then another 24 hours for the person I emailed to get back to you. Thanks for understanding. :)

Herb co-op

It's that time again to place our group order for the Las Vegas Herb Co-Op. Please visit Mountain Rose Herb's website and email me at keepitreallv@me.com the items, with sizes/quantities of what you'd like. The deadline to place your order is the 3rd (Monday night). I've included the instructions for ordering below and also ask that you include the item number if there's any chance of confusion on your order. ie, and organic version and a regular version, or sweet cinnamon chips vs. cassis chips. Organic vs Non-Organic, etc.

I am going to move forward with separating the Organic Coconut Oil from last month. I know a few of you are interested in some of it, I have clean, unused glass jars that I have sanitized for distribution. I'll have this task completed to distribute to you all with October's order. The cost is $59/gallon. $30/half gallon. Please let me know how much you'd like.

For our next meeting I'm considering having a 'shopping mall' type event where we can all showcase any goods that we make and sell. It would take a collective effort to make it worth while for all of us, including inviting your friends who are not members of the co-op to shop homemade gifts for the holidays. Please let me know if you have any interest in an event like this. It would be scheduled for early November. If you have a craft/item that you hand craft and would like to be able to set up and sell it at this event please contact me.

Thank you,
Christine Frazzitta

Soapnuts!

It has been a long time since the last co-op order for soap nuts. If you've never heard of the nuts or never used them, you can read all about them here. You can save a bundle on laundry detergent - I have stretched my 2 kilos out over 2 years! And I wash everything with the nuts, even cloth diapers.

Our last order was with Maggie's Pure Land soap nuts - since then Maggie's has gone out of business. Green Virgin Products will sell to us at super prices! The cost of shipping will be based on the weight of our order and will be split among those who order. You will find the spreadsheet in the usual place ;-)

The below price list is based on 1 kilo bags. Bags of 500 grams or 250 grams are $1 more. The 1 kilo bag includes 3 wash bags, the 500 gram includes 2 wash bags and the 250 gram includes 1 wash bag.

5-10 kilos $16.95 per kilo equal to $7.70 per pound.
11-20 kilos $15.95 per kilo equal to $7.25 per pound
21-40 kilos $14.95 per kilo equal to $6.79 per pound
41-99 kilos $13.95 per kilo equal to $6.34 per pound
100-200 kilos $11.95 per kilo equal to $5.40 per pound

If you are interested in their other products, here is the price list. We probably won't meet the minimum to get the wholesale price on these other products. We can then order these at a 12% from the retail price.

Moringa tea is $7.99 per package of 30 tea bags - minimum order of 48 pieces.
The moringa powder is $6.99 per 150 gram package - minimum of 48 pieces.

The deodorant stones are $2.99 each with a minimum order of 24 pieces.

Stainless steel bottles
350ml bottles are $3.79 each minimum of 25
750ml bottles are $3.95 each minimum of 25
1200ml bottles are $4.10 each minmum of 25

Meet our newest co-op

The Las Vegas Herb Co-Operative is a group of local herb and health enthusiasts who places monthly orders with Mountain Rose Herbs in Oregon (http://www.mountainroseherbs.com) and obtains the freshest herbs at the best prices possible.

LVHC is a community organization that was founded by Nicole Carter, Master Herbalist, in 2005 for herbalists to obtain organic herbs and herbal products at reasonable prices. Viveca Alldridge is now the organizer.

LVHC offers bulk herbs, teas, spices and herbal supplies at great discounts. This community group offers free membership, flat rate shipping costs and discounts based on volume. We get 15% off all products. Bulk herbs ordered in pound increments can get a discount of 15%, 20%, 30% or 40% based on the total amount of 1-lb bulk herbs ordered by LVHC that month. Bulk herbs ordered in less than 1-lb increments are discounted at 15%. Below is the bulk herb discount breakdown.

5-24 lbs - 15%

25-49 lbs - 20%

50-99 lbs - 30%

100+ lbs - 40%

Please have your order on the spreadsheet by 9:00am on the 4th of the month. Orders will be totaled and you will be notified of your total due. Please be sure to add your best contact info (email, text or phone) to the spreadsheet. You'll have 24hours to paypal the amount due. I will then update the spreadsheet to reflect the discount on 1-lb bulk herbs and if anything is out of stock. Orders are usually ready to be picked up about 7 to 10 days later. There are three pickup locations with possibility of more as the co-op grows.

Amy's – Sahara & Maryland

Viveca's – Blue Diamond & Rainbow

Nicole's – Silverado Area

We use a google documents spreadsheet that can be accessed through our gmail account. If you need this log-in, e-mail us Contact Us Page. NOTE: If you have a gmail account then share the document with yourself so you don't have to log in and out.

Payment can be issued to Viveca Alldridge at paypal at: avgardens@cox.net

Be sure to log your order on the spreadsheet labeled "Downtown Frontier order for March" by Friday night. I will be placing the order on Saturday, March 5, so have it listed by Friday night, unless you want to wake up at 5am on Saturday to do it!

We can't order unless we get free shipping....Please help us meet the $250 goal and we can get free shipping! So go ahead and order those froggie bath toys for your kids (215181) or this gorgeous rainbow snack bowl (219568) that will make almonds&banana chips even tastier!

Herb Co-op

If anyone is interested in participating in the herb co-op, Viveca Alldridge currently runs LVHC. The co-op was created by Nicole Carter - here is her site.
http://herbalexperience.net/

If you are new to herbs, Nicole offers a series of classes at UNLV.
https://herbalexperience.net/calendar/

On the third of every month the co-op places an order with Mtn. Rose Herbs. Usually we get a discount of 40% on 1lb bag of bulk herbs! So go to http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/ and start making your list of necessary herbs for March. You can email your order to Viveca at lvhc.avgardens@gmail.com.

You can also checkout the meetup here -

Where to find Herbs

Frontier is a good place to order, but my favorite is Mountain Rose Herbs. There are buying groups (like the Frontier one) that pull together for an order and get a discount. If you're interested go to the "Contact Us" page and ask for Gayle.

Hello Everyone,

Its time for another beef order, we are shooting for Feb. 10th delivery so we need to get our orders in quick. I need orders on the spreadsheet by Thursday Feb. 3rd with payments made by Sunday Feb. 6th. I will email everyone who has ordered on Feb. 3 their total. This gives Bar 10 enough time to pull the order.

Info on how to place your order on the spreadsheet, how to make payment, and where to pick up.

Pricelist with package descriptions:

If we were able to buy 2 or more cows the break down would be as follows:

1/12 is equal to: 2 New York Strip or T-Bone Steaks, 2 Rib or Ribeye Steaks, 2 Top Sirloin Steaks(boneless), 15lbs of Ground Steak, 3lbs of Patties, 9-10lbs of Roasts, 4lbs.of Kabob, Stew, or Cube Steak.....approx.34-35lbs of Beef.

We can order in these quantities so be sure to share with your friends if you feel like the smallest package is still to much!! It is all individually wrapped so splitting is made rather easy...and no one can beat the pricing!!

How To Order:

1) Go to Goggle.com, click on "G-mail" on the top of the page.

2) Enter user name: coopfrontier@gmail.com
Password: ourpassword

3) Click on "documents" (upper left hand side of page)

4) Find the document labeled "Bar 10 Beef Order Sheet"

5) Type in your info and what you would like to order.

How To Pay

Prior to placing the order all totals must be paid in FULL. Once everyone has sent me their orders they will be totaled up and the totals will be sent to you in an email. DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL I EMAIL YOU! This way we know how many cows we have and what the price will be. You may pay in Cash or with PayPal; Funded or Credit/Debit card (you pay all fees) PRIOR to the payment deadline.

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU SEND THE MONEY YOU FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1) go to your PayPal account and go to Send Money tab
2) enter my email address: theduboviks@gmail.com
3) enter the TOTAL you are sending (see below if Credit or Debit Card)
4) Below that choose the Personal Tab and select Payment Owed.

TO CALCULATE CREDIT/DEBIT CARD FEES GO HERE: http://www.rolbe.com/paypal.htm Enter your total in the To receive this amount (after fees) BOX and it will tell how much you need to send to cover the fees.

Email me at the same address if you would like to pay in cash.

Where To Pickup

February 10th is pickup.

The 1/12, 1/6, and 1/4 orders all come packed in boxes with insulation, so there is no need to bring a cooler. If you ordered one of the "other packages" it may come in bags. The beef is frozen so you will not need a cooler if you are going straight home.

Mario Batali's Farmers Market
7485 South Dean Martin Drive, Suite 106
Las Vegas, NV 89139

Pick up will probably be between 11am and 1pm but I will keep you posted. Any questions feel free to email me at theduboviks@gmail.com, I am hoping we will get to that 2 cow price and get the best deal!!
